[ There's a bit of a delay in Bobby's response, their last interaction still fresh in his mind. This is going to be interesting. ]

Yeah, why?

[ He stares at John's question for a moment, before - ]

In Ororo's place. Why?

[fireshow]

[ nnnnnnn ]

[bobsicle]

Yeah. Again, why?

[fireshow]

[ Oh. ]

Yeah, sure. What's up?

[fireshow]

[bobsicle]

[ Bobby sends the address of Ororo's warehouse turned living space in the Down. ]

You okay? Is this something I should be worried about?

[fireshow]

you worry about everything
but if you freak out
i'm gonna punch you

[bobsicle]

[ Bobby closes his eyes and hopes John's just joking. ]

This isn't helping me not to worry.

But sure, okay. No promises but I'll try not to.

[fireshow]

[ address in hand, it takes him a hot lol minute to arrive at ororo's place... for the first and last time. hand curled into a fist, he bangs on the door a couple times and just stands there. sigh heavy on his lips, taking a moment to swallow after. when bobby opens up the door, he'll find john there, shoulder pressed against the frame of the door... and looking like absolute shit in the sense of having a black eye, busted lip, and just looks completely roughed the fuck up with cuts and bruises. precisely why he asked him not to freak out. ]

[ When John didn't reply, Bobby paces around the room. Trust John Allerdyce to make him worry like this. He's about to send him another message when he hears banging on the door. Practically sprinting to get it, Bobby opens it and, true enough, there's John all banged up.

And he tries not to freak out nor look as Very Worried, but Bobby's unsuccessful, blue eyes widening, as he hurriedly beckons John to come inside. ]

John, what the hell happened?

[ There's an obvious concern in his tone as he immediately rushes to find the first aid kit lying around in this place. But before he does, he takes out his handkerchief, spreads it on his palm, hovers his hand on it and materializes ice cubes on the palm of his hand. He then wraps the cloth around the ice cubes for a makeshift ice pack and hands it over to John. ]

Here, for the bruise on your eye. I'll just get the first aid kit.

[fireshow]

[ that's what he was after. bobby's ability to create ice because heat sure as hell isn't going to help any of this right now. so, makeshift icepack in hand, he presses it to his eye and wears a lazy smile across his lips as he slowly makes his way in further, closing the door behind him as he does. ]

Oh yeah. That's the fucking stuff right there.

[ he sighs as he tips his head back, pressing the icepack to his eye. ]

Fuck, I needed that.

[bobsicle]

[ Bobby understands the moment he saw his friend all roughed up. He smiles when he hears John comment about the ice pack as he searches for the first aid kit. ]

Good. Let me know if it starts to melt, I'll keep it cool.

[ Because the heat has been crazy lately. As soon as Bobby locates the kit, he goes back to John with a smile as he beckons the other to take a sit. Once John sits down, he'll also take a seat beside him, putting the kit on his lap so he can find some gauze and disinfectant. ]

Mind telling me what happened? [ His tone doesn't suggest any judgment as he searches the kit. ]

[fireshow]

This is going to shock you to your core, but sometimes I get in trouble.

[ that's... sarcasm. yeah. quite a bit of it, but it's said rather playfully as opposed to bitterly.

sitting there with the other mutant, he tips his head back again and keeps the ice there under his eye. he's scratched up, some likely to end up as bruises beneath his shirt, but. he's had worse and nothing feels broken this time, so. it's a win as far as he's concerned. ]

I figured if you were around, you'd be the easiest way to cool down.

[bobsicle]

[ The sarcastic quip earns a chuckle from Bobby as he shakes his head, finally finding some gauze and disinfectant from the kit. He places the kit to the side and looks at John. He lets the other mutant rest for a bit with the ice pack, trying to assess the cuts he has. Nothing deep or major. It does look like he's going to need some ice packs for some of the other bruises, which he can provide, of course. ]

Got that right. [ About him being the easiest way to cool down. He relaxes into the couch for a bit. ]

How did you get in trouble this time?

[fireshow]

I went looking for it.

[ that is to say, he went out and started some shit. very john allerdyce of him, yeah.

eyeing the other there with his one eye not covered at the moment, he swallows before he sighs. leans back a little more comfortably there in his seat. ]

Thanks. For answering.

[bobsicle]

No problem. Always here.

[ For you are the next words that died in Bobby's throat, but he knows John understands what he meant. He holds his friend's gaze for a while before he looks down at the pieces of gauze and disinfectant in his hand.

It takes another second before he glances back at John, sighing. ]

Why did you go looking for it?

[fireshow]

[ he shrugs. ]

Sometimes I'm in the mood for it.

[ a glance over to bobby there with his one eye, he looks back ahead then — takes a second to look around ororo's place. if she knew he was here... he'd been dodging her out for a meeting in person since she first arrived. sometimes he doesn't even know why. ]

You want me to take my shirt off for you?

[bobsicle]

[ He shakes his head at John's answer. Typical John looking for trouble. Some things never do change. One thing that probably changed this time, though, is Bobby saves whatever lecture he has for the other mutant. No, he's not going to do it. Not when this place can really rile someone up most days. He's going to respect John's decision to go looking for trouble, even if it got him in a state like this. He worries, but Bobby knows his friend can take care of himself. He'll just have to be here for him whenever he needs it.

So, instead, he chooses to address his question. ]

Yeah, sure. So I can see your injuries. [ Hopefully not a lot. ]

[fireshow]

Try to control yourself.

[ it's said to tease, icepack dropped there beside him as he slowly shifts to make all of this easier for him. he knows it'll be worse after, the way his body aches. for now though, movement is still a bit of an option for him and so he takes advantage of that with slowly going through the process of pulling his shirt up and over his head, revealing the string of angry red marks across his ribs that are likely going to bruise. ]

[bobsicle]

[ The tease elicits a soft chuckle from Bobby as he shakes his head. ]

No promises here.

[ Teases back while he watches John take off his shirt. It's almost funny that the last time he saw the other without a shirt on was during That Time but now, the skin he once mapped with his fingers is marred by red marks. Those are indeed going to bruise, but maybe he can somehow prevent them. At least the bruising won't be too bad.

Putting the pieces of gauze and the disinfectant away for now, Bobby grabs one of the cloth gloves in the kit and wears it on his right hand. Then he turns it into solid ice, effectively transforming his gloved hand into a makeshift ice pack, too.

Leaning in, making sure to lock his gaze with John's, he presses his hand across his ribs. ]

This feels good? [ It's a gentle press as he adjusts the temperature of his hand so it's not too cold for John. ]

[fireshow]

[ unable to help himself, a hiss leaves him the moment that icy hand touches his marred skin, goosebumps running across at the cooler temperature. cold is cold and john's never really been a fan of the cold, but. it's better than putting any heat to his injuries; they're not really the sort to need heat.

letting out a breath, he licks over his lips. sits there. lets his gaze settle there on the other mutant for a moment before he's looking around again, icepack still there beside him, freeing up both his eyes. ]

Well I'm not turned on, if that's what you're asking.

[ said with a puff, he shifts a bit — winces a little in doing so. reaching for the icepack, he presses it to his busted lip. ]

You figure your shit out with Magneto yet?

[bobsicle]

[ He adjusts the temperature of his icy hand so it won't be too much for John, knowing he doesn't like the cold that much. He settles for something that he knows won't be too uncomfortable, but also would help his injuries heal a little.

As he watches John reach for the icepack and place it on his busted lip, Bobby almost chokes at his question. He doesn't move and slowly gives John's skin a soft caress to also help ease the pain. ]

What do you - [ Stops then sighs, as he figures out what he means. ] - Is this about the threesome again?
