No, actually it's number 3. I considered it, but didn't actually stop eating meat. Just.. less and around him... among many other things.

I like to think he did. Half the time I'm not sure he noticed the amount of changes I made - but he never asked me to make them in the first place.

Almost three years, I think.

That's a really long time. I'm glad you guys lasted that long, at least.

So am I. It was surprising, really, especially given we had some rough spots.

I hope there weren't a lot of them, though? [ The rough spots, he means. ]

Eh, there were a fair few, but I would rather focus on the good times.

Would it be odd for me to say I miss some of those rougher spots? It made the relationship more rewarding when things weren’t perfect all the time.
